What is Mastering?

Mastering is the (artistic) final processing of sound recordings and the last step in music production before the recorded sound medium is created.
Mastering is not just a technical service. Today, it is possible for anyone with a suitable DAW and a basic understanding of technology to make an album mix as loud as possible and export a master project as a CD or DDP record (including ISRC codes, CD-Text, etc.)
Mastering in the actual sense goes beyond these basic ideas and is to be understood more as part of the artistic process, which naturally includes the technical aspects.
Ultimately, it's about bringing out the emotions in the music and developing a sonic profile that best reflects the musicians' intentions.
In order to be able to achieve this, the mastering engineer's listening experience, empathy and a well-trained ear are essential.
It is also extremely important to work with high-quality processors in acoustically optimized rooms with an almost linear frequency response and high-resolution speakers.
Only when these aspects come together are the ideal conditions for an optimal master's degree created.

Amaro - Music offers you professional mastering on this basis. We are your creative partner who can give your music the desired sound aesthetics and brilliance. The necessary know-how and many years of experience characterize our work.

However, before a finished mix is sent to us for mastering, for example via Wetransfer (amaromusic@gmx.de), there are a few things to consider during preparation.
